Nanda\Hobbs wins IABCA 2016 SME of the Year

We are delighted and honoured to have been awarded the IABCA (India Australia Business & Community Awards) SME of the Year for 2016.

The award, presented at a gala dinner on  Friday 28th October at the Four Points By Sheraton Grand Ballroom in Sydney was attended by 500 guests including Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP, NSW Treasurer representing the Premier of NSW, B. Vanlalvawna, Consul General of India in Sydney representing the High Commissioner of India in Australia, Hon. Luke Foley MP, Leader of the Opposition and Tracey Spicer, Ambassador, National Breast Cancer Foundation. 

Nanda\Hobbs Contemporary has been recognised as an organisation that seeks to celebrate culture and recognise the importance of supporting local artists and strive to strengthen the artistic sector within Australia.

James Drinkwater collaborates with boutique fashion label Alpha60

James Drinkwater has created a body of work inspired by his travels to French Polynesia for boutique Melbourne fashion label, Alpha60.

The designers, Georgie and Alex Cleary along with James will be joined by Wendy Whiteley who will wear a custom-made ensemble at the launch on Wednesday in Alpha60's Chapter House space in Melbourne.

We have moved to Chippendale

Nanda\Hobbs has moved to the thriving arts precinct of Chippendale, just 2km south of the the CBD. Located in a fantastic warehouse at 12 - 14 Meagher Street, the building is a minute's stroll from White Rabbit Gallery and Central Park.

Our busy exhibition schedule and events will be bigger and better in our spectacular new space. Join us for opening nights or call in through the day to enjoy the work without the crowds.

We will now be open on Saturdays, 11am - 4pm and Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Laura Matthews Highly Prized

Laura Matthews is having a sensational year with finalist selections and wins in a slew of art prizes. She was the regional winner of the Hunters Hill and selected as a finalist in the Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize, Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize, and announced this week...the Paddington Art Prize.
