ADNATE painting on Australia Post stamp

24 May 2017

Australia Post has just released the "Street Art" stamp issue which features four portraits painted in the streets of Melbourne and Adelaide by internationally acclaimed street artists, including Adnate

The image featured on Adnates stamp is of a 23-metre mural of an Indigenous boy painted by the artist in Hosier Lane, Melbourne. The work was commissioned by the City of Melbourne in 2014. The stamps also feature Adelaide artist, Vans the Omega, Irish-born, London-based artist Fin DAC and a collaborative work by Australian artists, Rone and Phibs.

The stamp release coincides with Adnates major solo exhibition Tomorrow's Past at Nanda\Hobbs Contemporary on show from 25 May to 9 June, 2017. Following the exhibition Adnate will travel to Europe then the United States for major "big wall" commissions in New York and LA.

The Street art stamp issue is available from participating Post Offices, via mail order on 1800 331 794 and online at auspost.com.au/stamps
