Artists, Jonathan Dalton and James Drinkwater have both been selected for the most coveted and renowned art prizes in Australia. Dalton is a finalist in the Archibald Prize and Drinkwater is a Wynne Prize finalist. Winners will be announced on Friday 28 July.
Fittingly, the subject of first time Archibald entrant, Jonathan Dalton's portrait (pictured) is James Drinkwater and his wife, artist Lottie Consalvo.
Drinkwater's entry, a diptych titled Passage to Rungli Rungliot is a major work from his Tasmanian-based Rungli Rungliot series The stand-out entry is of epic propotions, measuring 180x360cm. View Passage to Runli Rungliot here
