Gippsland Art Gallery exhibition features Giles Alexander

22 January 2018

Imagine opened to the public on 6 January 2018 in the new gallery space recently completed for the Gippsland Art Gallery. Curated by Simon Gregg, it is regarded as one of the most ambitious and exciting exhibitions to be staged in regional Australia. Imagine encompasses 134 works spanning the sixteenth century to the present, from 81 national and international artists.

Two major paintings from Giles Alexander's 2015 “Portal” series are exhibited in the exhibition. These works are featured on the front and back covers of the catalogue - a beautiful colour publication for sale in the Gallery.

Over 3,000 visitors viewed the exhibition in it’s first weekend. Imagine is on show until 18 March, 2018.
