Lives and works in newcastle, Australia
Brett McMahon is an Australian artist based in Newcastle NSW who makes paintings, drawings and sculptural installations that uncover forms, structures and storylines in natural and built environments.
McMahon’s works are characterized by robust compositions that resonate with the world, offering distilled and poetic responses to his surroundings. His use of bold lines, geometric shapes, and a keen eye for spatial relationships defines his unique approach to abstraction.
