The Laissez Faire depicts an aged Joe Biden being escorted off the Euclidean plane by two Pepe Frogs. On the one hand this is the new generation escorting out the old but in a more sinister tone it is Joe Biden asleep at the wheel through the resurfacing of anti-semitism. Pepe frog began an internet meme of a frog who’s motto was “feels good man” and degenerated into a far right hate symbol associated with Nazi Germany and the Klu Klux Klan. The duality of this is expressed in the faces of both frogs. In 2016 Pepe’s creator Matt Furie teamed up with America’s anti-defamation league to save Pepe stating “I, the creator, say that Pepe is love”.
