In Conversation: Leslie Rice and Christopher Horder: Artist Talk

Overview

What happens when two very different artists sit down to talk about how they approach their distinctive creative process?

This Saturday, join Leslie Rice and Christopher Horder from 2-3pm in the gallery for a conversation around painting, process, material, and the curious ways an artist’s past can find its way into the work. Hear from two of Australia's great painters who share an obsession with what a surface can hold.

Rice’s Almost a Mountain looks to the landscape of Townsville’s Castle Hill, his works tied together through his personal history and visual memory. Horder’s The Hanging Gardens of Babylon sits beneath the things we think we know: the natural world and the space between things.
