In the black of a winter’s night at the gallery—that became a bunker of sorts—a small solace was sketching the Omega Ensemble as they played for the first time since lockdown.
The works that followed came from this night.
The dancing figures of the Omega Ensemble play by ghostlight to the empty halls of the Sydney Opera House.
Their haunting melodies reignited in me hope of the good in humanity. As Brunnhilde bellows with a magnificent cry in Wagner’s Der Ring Des Nibelungen, it truly is not over til the fat lady sings. -
