Raj Nanda

Managing Director \ Co-Founder

As Managing Director and Co-Founder, Raj brings over three decades of experience as both a passionate art collector and a senior executive across global financial markets. With a background in investment banking, he has held executive positions at major international financial institutions, including UBS in Singapore and Sydney, Macquarie Bank, and Citibank.

 

Raj has established and managed a number of specialist alternative asset class funds across the Asia-Pacific region and has advised numerous companies on strategy, growth, and investment. This deep expertise underpins his leadership of Nanda\Hobbs, where he oversees the gallery’s commercial strategy, governance, and long-term business development, ensuring a rigorous and sustainable framework for artistic excellence.

 

Beyond the gallery, Raj has served on the boards of a range of corporate, cultural, and philanthropic organisations. He is currently on the board of Digital Finance Ventures, and was formerly on the boards of the National Trust of Australia (NSW), and the Advisory Board of the international charity Creative Support Services Group. He holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Master of Business Administration, and is a licensed fine art valuer.
