6 May 2022

The Art Gallery of NSW Trustees have made their selection for the 2022 edition of Australia's most loved and anticipated art awards—the Archibald Prize, Wynne and Sulman prizes.

We're thrilled to have eight artists represented this year with ten artworks selected across the three prizes. Archibald finalists include Jonathan Dalton, Blak Douglas, Kim Leutwyler, Mathew Lynn, James Powditch and Caroline Zilinksky. Two artists have had double success—James Powditch is also in the Wynne Prize and Kim Leutwyler in the Sulman Prize—along with Lesley Rice and Paul Ryan (with a collaborative work with Christopher Zanko).

Winners will be announced on Friday 13 May. The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday 14 May and will be on show until 28 August 2022.
