Congratulations to Paul Ryan for his selection as a finalist in the 2019 Moran National Portrait Prize.
He was one of 30 finalists, selected from a pool of 139 semi-finalists. Ryan's portrait is of actor Noah Taylor, titled Colonial Boy.
The Moran Portrait Prize is Australia's most valuable art prize with $150,000 awarded to the winner. Other semi-finalists included Dee Smart, Paul Ryan, Mathew Lynn and James Drinkwater. The winner will be announced on 30 October.
