New Works from Anthony Lister

14 September 2016

Anthony Lister is regarded worldwide by critics as one of the leading freehand painters of the urban art world. The past decade has seen him travelling the globe incessantly, devouring both street and gallery walls.  His dark humour and commentary on society transcends generational divides and knows no geographical borders.

Lister is “Pop Culture on steroids”—his art is a perverse mirror to the world where beauty and darkness collide in colour and line.  A contemporary cultural beacon diving into our innermost feelings and desires with twisted anti-heroes and jesters.

Nanda\Hobbs Contemporary is pleased to release five works that speak volumes about society and of the talent of one of the best known Australian artists on the world stage.
